Today we’d like to introduce you to one of our favourite unique wedding fairs- Tying The Nott! This photoshoot sums up what they’re all about – fun, creativity and ‘thinking outside the box’. They also feature quite a few of our awesome supplier tribe members. We sponsored Tying the Nott last year so it was only natural that we’d do it again this year!
Alongside this introduction blog comes an announcement that they have just released their wedding fair date for next Spring – Sunday 19th April 2020 at Nottingham High School – so save the date! It’s the largest alternative wedding fair in the East Midlands (we think also the UK but we don’t want to shout too much about it!) so grab your tickets today. You don’t want to miss it!

the most unique wedding fair- a styled shoot
This awesome styled shoot was arranged by Caroline, founder of Tying The Nott- the most unique wedding fair in the East Midlands. This alternative wedding fair is for a huge range of couples planning their wedding day. It appeals to alternative tastes so it is important for them to capture all styles, from the Gothic to the colourful.
This wedding shoot is clearly for the colourful! Featuring sweet retro styling and bright colours galore, it’s full of quirky & creative touches. The suppliers have demonstrated a range of alternative bridal styling with personalised leather jackets, alternative bouquets and bespoke accessories. Check out that bespoke pom wall and who could resist the sweetie trolley?

A sweet wedding colour scheme
The wedding styling is clearly 50s influenced, with the tea length swing dresses, leather jackets and vintage hairstyles. A modern twist is added with the bubbly colour palette, built from a pastel base with pops of bold colour. We LOVE the pink highlights in Roksann’s hair shown above.
And for a sweet wedding what do you need – a bespoke sweetie trolley of course! All styled in matching colours. The crystal bouquet from CRZy best also included minature sweet sculptures made out of metal. The attention to detail is phenomenal.
Caroline and the unique wedding fair team have smashed it on this awesome styled shoot! Remember- Sunday 19th April 2020- Put it in your diaries! Be sure to also check out all of the awesome wedding alternative suppliers below!
